Transport from Sydney

Train is the most comfortable and cheapest way of transportation. The trip is from Sydney Central to Newcastle; the latter is a terminal station so there is no way to miss it! Take a Cityrail train (see http://www.cityrail.info/timetable/index.jsp for train timetable - Newcastle & Central Coast Line) On arrival, follow walking directions from the Newcastle train station to the hotel (approx. 8 mins):

Take Sydney-Newcastle Freeway to the north, then take Wallsend/Newcastle exit and use the following directions.

Newcastle airport

If you are planning to visit other Australian cities, there are a number of flights available from the Newcastle Airport to Melbourne, Brisbane and Gold Coast. There are also flights to Sydney and Canberra, but they are operated by small planes, and passengers are allowed to take only small hand luggage. For more information, please refer to the airport website http://www.newcastleairport.com.au Airport-Newcastle route is operated by Port Stephens coach service with buses departing from the airport approximately every hour. Bus ticket is AU$5. For more information, please see http://www.pscoaches.com.au Alternatively, taxi service is available from the airport for approximately AU$60.
